State Police Release Identity Of Woman Killed In I-295 Rollover

JOHNSTON, RI — Rhode Island State Police have released the identity of the woman killed in a crash on Interstate 295 South Friday afternoon. Rosa Garcia Almonte, 21, was killed when she was ejected from her vehicle.
The Providence woman was involved in a rollover crash around 3 p.m. between Exits 9 and 10 . No other passengers were in the vehicle at the time.
The cause of the crash has not been determined and is still under instigation at this time, state police said.
