They Rocked It 'Olde School'

The Friends of Mohr Library and Society for Creative Anachronism teamed up to present the second annual Medieval Faire on May 5.

A threat of rain didn't dampen spirits on May 5, as Friends of Library hosted the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) for the second annual Medieval Faire.

SCA members dressed in Renaissance and Middle Ages costumes and demonstrated sword lessons and staged mock battles.

The "Knights of Gore" also performed a steel sword demonstration.

Visitors were also able to see the art and skill of blacksmithing, throwing wooden axes, and weaving thread into cloth, while music of the 1500s was performed on a recorder.

The Friends also provided the Medieval arts and crafts for children as they created their own dragons and decorated goblets.
