What Do You Remember Since 1982?

We're looking for your memories of the past 30 years, in advance of the North Central Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner scheduled for Monday night.

 

On Monday night, the is scheduled to — and we're asking readers for their memories from the past three decades.

Do you remember when M*A*S*H had its final episode (it was on Feb. 28, 1983), or the year Rhode Island crossed the 1,000,000 population level (officially, with the release of the 1990 census)?

The Chamber is also planning a "flashback to the 80s" theme for its "Night of the Rising Stars" celebration, slated to start at 5 pm on Monday at Crystal Lake Golf Club in Mapleville.

Jim Hummel, founder of the Hummel Report and 1982 college graduate, is the featured speaker for the event, which also includes a mini-expo and cocktails before dinner, and awards presentations including small business of the year and the Chamber's 2012 scholarship winners.
