Lincoln Man Tried To Steal Casino Cheques At Gaming Table: Cops

The Lincoln man tried to steal the cheques at Bally's Twin River Lincoln casino, police said.

LINCOLN, RI — A Lincoln man tried to steal casino cheques at a gaming table, police said.

Frank Schiavone, 39, was arrested at Bally's Twin River Lincoln casino about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Schiavone was charged with attempted larceny of less than $1,500, according to the release.

"The arrest was the result of a Gaming Enforcement investigation at Bally's Twin River Casino of the attempted larceny of casino cheques at a gaming table," the release said.

State police Lt. Col. Robert Creamer failed to respond to a request for additional information on Schiavone's arrest.

Schiavone was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and released on $1,000 personal recognizance after appearing before a bail commissioner, according to the release.
