Come&nbsp;treat yourself to a sound journey like no other. Let the powerful&nbsp;resonance of the gongs carry you into a dreamlike state of relaxation&nbsp;and inner clarity. As waves of sound wash over you, many find that&nbsp;tension softens, the mind quiets, and the body naturally returns to a&nbsp;peaceful, balanced baseline. Settle&nbsp;in as drums, bells, and singing bowls open the space and guide you&nbsp;gently inward. The gongs then take you on a transformative&nbsp;journey—vibrational, expansive, and deeply restorative—before chimes and ocean drums&nbsp;welcome you back, played intuitively and created just for you&nbsp;in the moment.
No&nbsp;two gong baths are ever the same. Each experience is shaped by the time&nbsp;of year, celestial rhythms, and the collective energy of those present,&nbsp;allowing the sound to unfold uniquely every time. Participants&nbsp;typically rest lying on their backs on a mat or relax in a comfortable&nbsp;chair. You remain fully clothed; no water is involved. The “bath” refers&nbsp;to an enveloping wash of sound. For maximum comfort, please bring a&nbsp;mat, blanket, and pillow. 
This&nbsp;experience offers a powerful opportunity for meditation and deep&nbsp;relaxation—even for those who feel they “can’t meditate.” Within this&nbsp;spontaneous soundscape, many naturally drift into calm, expansive inner&nbsp;spaces where insight, rest, and renewal arise with ease. Thinking about law school? Join Roger Williams University School of Law for the annual Providence Law School Fair, where you'll have the opportunity to explore legal education and connect with representatives from more than 40 ABA-approved law schools from across the United States.
The event begins with a Law School Admissions 101 Panel from 12:00–1:00 p.m., where admissions professionals will provide an overview of the law school admissions process and answer general questions. Following the panel, attendees are invited to meet one-on-one with representatives from participating law schools during the Law School Fair from 1:00–3:00 p.m.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Get your running shoes and lederhosen ready! The annual OktoberVets 5K and German Festival is officially coming to town on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Proudly sponsored by the North Kingstown VFW Post 152, this highly anticipated community event combines fitness, culture, and a deep appreciation for our local veterans.
Since 2017, VFW Post 152 has hosted this premier fundraising event to support its vital community work. As an official non-profit organization, 100% of the race entry fees go directly toward funding critical veteran advocacy, assistance programs, and outreach initiatives managed by the post. Now in its ninth year, the event has become a staple of Rhode Island's autumn calendar, turning miles into meaningful support for those who served.
The festivities kick off sharply at 10:00 AM. Runners, walkers, and strollers are all welcome on the scenic 5K course, making it a fully accessible event for competitive athletes and families alike. Participants will wind through the historic heart of Wickford Village, enjoying beautiful waterfront views and colonial charm along the way. All registered participants will receive excellent race swag, including an official event t-shirt and a custom finisher medal.
Immediately following the race, the celebration shifts gears into a lively, family-friendly German Festival. Attendees can look forward to an authentic celebration featuring a festive local beer garden and grilled bratwurst served up directly by the VFW crew.
Whether you are looking to set a new personal record on the pavement, earn some great new race gear, or simply enjoy a festive autumn day by the water with great food, the OktoberVets 5K and German Festival has something for everyone.
