May 4th at 2 pm Newport Public Library will present Author Michael Sears, discussing his novel Black Fridays. This NPL Books and Authors series event is free and open to the public in the Program Room on the lower level. Black Fridays will be available for sale and signing. This is Sears first novel and centers on Wall Street executive Jason Stafford, recently out of jail who has lots of problems including his autistic son. A full-time writer now, Sears is a former managing director at Paine Webber. The character Jason Stafford is central in a second book coming out later year.
