The Newport Historical Society's popular Holiday Lantern Tour will return on Friday evenings.
On this history walking tour, enjoy a lanternlit stroll through Newport's streets, hear stories detailing the diverse ways that colonial residents celebrated—or didn't celebrate—the holiday season and visit the WantonLymanHazard House's first floor. The 5 p.m. tour begins on Friday November 12th and runs through Friday December 17th.
The tour costs $12 per person, $10 for NHS members, $5 for children ages 12 and under, and departs from the Museum & Shop at Brick Market, 127 Thames Street, Newport, RI. Reservations are strongly encouraged as space is limited.
