Always There to Lend a Hand

Southgansett Girl Scouting is more than hiking, camping, and cookies. It's about making the world a better place.

This year, Girl Scouts again participated in the “Project Undercover” collection. They collected an astonishing 15,109 items (diapers, tee shirts, socks, and underwear) for Rhode Island children, living in poverty.

All the donations received were divided and given to the following South County organizations: Jonnycake Center, Narragansett Housing Authority, Welcome House, South County Community Action, The Domestic Violence Resource, and Thundermist.

A very special thank you goes to the Girl Scout troops and individuals who tirelessly worked to make this a success.
