'BELIEVE' It...Or NOT!

       Please believe me when I say that I am in ‘no way, shape, or form’ comparing myself to Christ, although these days, and for the last ‘little while’, I attempt to live a Christian life. This being said, I DO, however, know what it feels like to be ‘persecuted’ for my belief-system and for espousing what I hold in my heart. For some who may NOT be ‘on board’ with what I have to say, how I think, or how I feel regarding my faith, this which is NOTHING more than practicing LOVE, UNDERSTANDING, TOLERANCE and PATIENCE for my brethren, this makes me a ‘target’ for ridicule. Naturally, it’s ‘all good’ as far as I’m concerned; for I try to NOT allow the snide and sometimes ‘hate-filled’ ‘judgements’ that I am dealt, due to the ‘proposals’ I periodically proffer with respect to a Higher-Power, ‘Source’, or God, to get ‘under my skin’; and yet... I am sometimes simply ‘caught off guard’ and ‘taken aback’ by the vehemence displayed to me, on occasion, for my way of thinking. The ONLY ‘explanation’ I can come up with, or ‘justification’ for a persons negative response to who I am, is that he or she is not ready to receive what I perceive to be the ‘Truth’; and this is Ok with me, for I do not NEED others to believe me or to ‘jump on my bandwagon’; however, ideally, folks would just ignore what I express if and when they are not in accordance with my ‘message’, vs. being ‘unkind’ and hateful about how they disagree. Wouldn’t that be the better way? I don’t ‘agree’ with EVERYTHING I read on this site or hear from the mouths of others; yet I would not DREAM of telling people that they are wrong for their beliefs, perceptions, or for communicating THEIR convictions as they so choose. There is another reason that I feel some folks ‘attack’ me and others for their ‘outward’-display of an affinity for God; this being that ‘chatting-up’ Christ is NOT the most popular ‘subject-matter’ outside of a church or place of worship; that it’s ‘taboo’ to talk about ‘such things’ unless one is in the ‘proper’-setting. Posting expressions of ‘LOVE and LIGHT’ are ‘wrong’ in the eyes of some, either on this site or off; but contributing communications which are ‘negative’, nasty, mean, offensive and ‘downright’ unpleasant are much more widely accepted. Why is this so, I wonder? Sure ‘beats the HECK outta me’, I’ll tell ya’. Anyway...I will continue to convey my thoughts and ‘ideals’ as long as I keep getting some sort of personal-satisfaction in doing so; and to all of you out here, I encourage the same. We don’t need to agree with each other; but we can ‘agree to disagree’ in a MORE mild-manner, don’t ya’ think? Just Sayin’...
