Business Bits: Bella Brow Brings Eyebrow Threading To SK

Bella Brow in South County Commons offers a unique service to men and women seeking that well-groomed eye brow look.

An eyebrow threading salon to cater to all of your eyebrow-maintenance needs is no in South County Commons. The salon, called Bella Brow, isn’t the first of its kind to come onto the beauty scene, it is definitely one of the only ones in this area.

Threading is an ancient style of grooming that originated in India. With the use of a cotton thread, it grazes the top of the skin, pulling out the hairs from the root. This technique may seem invasive or painful, but as long as you’re dealing with a skilled threader, it is essentially painless. Waxing, a popular alternative, is more painful.

For the month of February, an eyebrow threading service is running at the low price of $9. Students receive a $1 discount on any service at Bella Brow. For now, their hours of operation (as they get themselves up and running) will be 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Monday -Thursday and on Saturday, and 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Friday.

ChartWise Medical Systems, Inc., an innovative Computer-Assisted Clinical Documentation Improvement (CACDI) software company, will relocate to the historic Palisades Mill Complex in South Kingstown in mid-February.

The new location at 1174 Kingstown Road, will be nearly four times the size of ChartWise’s current headquarters as the medical software provider increases its area from 2,800 square feet to more than 11,000. The CACDI software provider required additional space to accommodate the significant growth they project to see over the next few years. It is currently housed at 10 High Street.

“It means a lot to us that we were able to find such a great location so close to our current headquarters,” said Dr. Jon Elion, founder and CEO of ChartWise. “We anticipate tremendous growth and success moving forward in the Palisades Mill and look forward to sharing that success with the local community.”

ChartWise’s new headquarters feature a favorable layout for the software leader. The space boasts large open areas designed for collaborative effort and working closely together, following today’s standards in computer programming methodology.

"I'm excited to welcome ChartWise into the ever expanding family of businesses at the Palisades Mill,” said Eric Thunberg, the owner of the property. “Their continued growth is a model for success in a state that needs
more good news.”

The Mill’s close proximity to its current offices will enable the CACDI software leader to remain fully operational during the transition.
