C-Span Goes To Narragansett High On Tuesday
Six students won Honorable Mention awards for their documentaries.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — Six Narragansett High students will receive certificates from C‑SPAN and Cox Communications on Tuesday. They're local winners of C‑SPAN’s annual student video documentary competition, StudentCam. Abby LeCam, Isabel Chamberlain, Lily Moskwa, Mollie McGrady, Mollie Melnick, and Kelsey Urbach will be recognized during a ceremony, and their winning videos will be played.
The StudentCam contest asked middle school and high school students to create a 5-7 minute video documentary about the topic, "Your Message to Washington: What is the most urgent issue for the new president and Congress to address in 2017?" More than 5,600 students in 46 states and Washington, D.C. entered. From the 2,903 video submissions, 150 students and 53 teachers won prizes worth $100,000.
