Join harpist Mary King for a magical afternoon of music in the gardens, followed by a whimsical children's parade through the gardens.

Enjoy fairy-themed crafts, face painting, special treats, and a fun scavenger hunt throughout the gardens. Children—and adults—are encouraged to dress as their favorite fairy, gnome, elf, dragon, or other mythical character. 

Pack a picnic, explore the gardens, and celebrate a day of imagination, creativity, and enchantment for the whole family.
Children (and adults!) dress as your favorite fairy, gnome (or any favorite mythical creature!) Try our scavenger hunt, craft activity, and bring a picnic.

Where clay meets fairy tale
Step into a story. On June 27th, Rebekah Cook Art 
and New England Carriage Co. are joining forces for the most enchanting 
morning Wakefield has ever seen — a hands-on pottery painting class 
followed by a genuine horse-drawn carriage ride.
Participants will create their very own ceramic piece, then trade the
 studio for the open air and ride away in a storybook carriage straight 
out of Cinderella. Brickley’s ice cream seals the magic.
Whether you’re surprising your little princess, celebrating with 
friends, or simply treating yourself to something extraordinary — this 
is a day you’ll talk about long after the clay is fired!

Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse. Outdoor tented events are our specialty, with numerous locations on-site that are picturesque for your celebration. Outdoor tented celebrations can accommodate up to 250 guests.
