Community Bridging for Girl Scouts

Celebrating Achievements and Looking Forward...

On the lawn of the Village Green, Southgansett Girl Scouts came together to celebrate an important transition, the Bridging Ceremony. It’s a defining moment when a girl becomes aware of her achievements and is ready for new adventures and responsibilities. She is ready to go to the next level in Girl Scouting.

This year, we celebrated three young women who received their Gold Awards. The Gold Award is the highest achievement within the Girl Scouts of the USA, earned by Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts. Only 5.4% of eligible Girl Scouts successfully earn the Gold Award. The Gold Award Recipients were: India Aitkenhead, Abigail Herbert, Sarah Robbins.

This year, 8 Ambassador Girl Scouts were recognized during the ceremony. Not only graduating high school but also allowing them to become adult volunteers in Girl Scouting.
