Dangerous Cold for Narragansett/SK: -20 Wind Chill Values Thursday, Friday

A coating of snow is expected, too.

A dangerous cold snap will hit Narragansett and South Kingstown Thursday and Friday.

Wind chill values will plunge to as low as 20 degrees below zero, according to the National Weather Service, which issued a hazardous weather alert.

  • Wednesday night: Snow, with an accumulation of 1-3 inches. Low of 14 degrees.
  • Thursday: Snow, mainly before 5 p.m., with an accumulation of 1 inch. Wind chill values as low as -15. Wind gusts as high as 40 mph.
  • Friday: Partly sunny. Wind chill values as low as -16. Wind gusts as high as 30 mph.
