E Coli Testing In Narragansett-South Kingstown Water Begins

RIDOH cannot lift the boil water advisory until test results show no E Coli in the water for three days in a row.

NARRAGANSETT-SOUTH KINGSTOWN — As the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) anticipated, the testing of five public water systems contaminated with E Coli last Friday started Wednesday.

"The five water systems serving parts of South Kingstown and Narraganset that are under a boil water advisory have begun resampling today to determine whether the water from those systems is again safe to drink," RIDOH Public Information Officer Joseph Wendelken told Patch.

According to Wendelken, RIDOH cannot lift the boil water advisory until test results show no E Coli in the water for three days in a row.
