The Friends of Canonchet Farm will be removing invasive plants from the east side of Lake Canonchet directly across from the Narragansett Town Beach on Route 1A on Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12, from 8 a.m. to noon.
This project is an ongoing effort to improve and preserve Canonchet Farm. It is also an opportunity for students to accumulate community volunteer hours. Both student and adult volunteers will learn to identify plants as well as how best to use the tools available for each job.
