The Galilee Fishing Tournament, organized jointly by the Narragansett Parks & Recreation Department, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management and the Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association is scheduled for September 7, 8, and 9, 2012 at the Port of Galilee in Narragansett.
"The purpose of the event is to celebrate and promote the recreational and commercial fishing industries, local seafood and the Port of Galilee as an important aspect of Rhode Island's economy, as well as a great source of recreation for both residents and visitors."
All of the proceeds from the Fishing Tournament will be donated to:
- Hasbro Children's Hospital
- The Jonnycake Center
- Narragansett Parks & Recreation Family Assistance Program

The Tournament begins on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 5 p.m. and ends on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 2 p.m. The event includes two categories: adult and junior. The junior category is for participants age 14 and younger. There will be two divisions, boat and shore, in each category.
