Yoga is a powerful, natural, and effective way for girls to thrive in their physical bodies and cultivate their body-mind-spirit connection. During this summer camp with All That Matters' celebrated yoga-for-teens teacher Nancy Escher, girls ages 9-13 enjoy 4 afternoons of exploration, learning, movement...and of course fun! Nancy introduces yoga poses, breathing techniques, and relaxation strategies that lay the groundwork for lifelong, healthy habits. Together create and use gratitude journals and hula hoops (yes, they are a spiritual tool!), and design a group mindfulness mandala. We share daily healthy afternoon snack - and in the process, learn some basic nutrition concepts. If weather permits, our yoga practice is in the "outdoor classroom." No yoga experience is necessary.
