Join University of Rhode Island (URI) Graduate School of Oceanography Scientists on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. for a two-hour beach exploration.
URI scientists will lead an exploration of the shoreline of Narragansett Town Beach. The program, sponsored by the Friends of Narragansett Town Beach, will introduce such topics as beach development, erosion, and migration; beach ecology; and beach history.
This program is suitable for adults and families with children of middle school age and older. The group will meet in front of the new North Beach pavilion. All children 14 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
