Wilma Briggs, Former All American-Girls Professional Baseball Player, at the SK Senior Center

Wilma Briggs, a former left fielder in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) and a local elementary school teacher, will be at The Center on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 1 p.m.

Historians rank Wilma Briggs among the most stellar hitters in AAGPBL history, and she led the league in home runs during the 1953 season.

Ms. Briggs will discuss her life as a professional baseball player and how the movie, "A League of Their Own," gave the AAGPBL national recognition.
