For 'Goodness' Sake...

    An act of kindness needn’t be ‘profound’ or SO big that the entire global community becomes privy to its existence ~ nope...even the teeniest-tiniest ‘niceties’ performed for the sake of others are HUGE. whether or not any other soul is aware of them. If we do good ONLY out of our OWN need to feel gratification and to appear the ‘good guy’ or ‘hero’, certainly those who are the benefactors of our ‘deed’ will benefit, still; yet, to act on our own behalf in an ‘effort’ to aid another is NOT, truly, what ought to ‘motivate’ one into action. Instead, our ‘service’ to others, ideally, comes form the heart, with no other ‘agenda’ than to help someone, and looks for nothing in return, aside from the peaceful satisfaction which can generate from our selflessness. Whether a kind deed is performed with purpose or is ‘random’ in nature, as long as it serves others ~ and the Lord ~ and is motivated out of a desire to make the world a ‘better place’...one decent ‘act’ at a time...rather than in seeking to fill a ‘selfish’ and/or ‘self-centered’ need, it will be fully appreciated for its merit. The world appears filled with some who seem to enjoy the ‘limelight’ generated of/by their ‘graciousness’ and goodness; Hey...if that’s what ‘floats their boat’ more power to ‘em. I simply feel that it’s not necessary to ‘alert the media’ each and every time one behaves on behalf of another; for when doing so it CAN appear that he/she is ‘in it’ for the personal-’perk’. Perhaps, I’m wrong...I’ve been so before! In any event, practicing at the ‘art’ of kindness can, truly, NEVER be wrong, no matter the motivation; for no matter WHAT...as long as our focus is in doing ‘good’ the world WILL be a BETTER place. Just Sayin’...
