He Lights-Up My Life...

    In the same way we rely upon road-maps to guide us along on trips we take in life, we, too, need another type of ‘guide’ to assist us in ‘chartering’ our course in this life’s ‘journey’. Understanding longitude and latitude aids sailors in safe travels as they traverse the sea. Knowing how to read a street-map will avail us to understand where we are, if we get lost along our way, when we are in unfamiliar territory; and in the same way, following in the footsteps of Christ, our Savior, will lead us out of the ‘darkness’ when we are ‘lost’; for He IS the ‘Light of the World’. Whether or not we embrace this truth, we all require ‘spiritual-navigation’ to aid us in staying on the ‘straight and narrow’, and to keep us on the best path while we ‘walk our walk’ here on earth. We need a constant-guide to ‘light’ our way to help us find our way ‘Home’. The thing is, we must learn to TRUST that God will lead us in the ‘right’ direction, and that He is here for us when we need to ‘correct’ our missteps on the course of our trek, here in the ‘physical’. When we rely on God’s guidance, even though we may, still, at times veer off course, it is easier to get back ‘on track’ when we seek direction from Him. With God as our ‘Navigator’ we are headed in the right direction. Just Sayin’...
