High Bacteria Levels Close 2 South Kingstown Beaches For Swimming
Health officials said they will continue to monitor and review beach water quality regularly to ensure safe bathing throughout summer.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Two beached in South Kingstown closed to swimming due to high bacteria levels, state health officials said Wednesday.
The beaches affected by the closure are Camp Hoffman Beach in South Kingston and Kingston’s Camp Beach in Kingston.
The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) deemed the beaches unsafe for swimming because of high bacteria levels. RIDOH officials said they will continue to monitor and review beach water quality regularly to ensure safe bathing throughout summer.
