Langevin’s Offices Accepting Applications for Summer Interns

The program is open to college students who can commit to working a minimum of 10 hours a week.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — It's a summer job without any pay, but the benefits could knock off some college credits and lead to a good career someday. U.S.Cong. Jim Langevin (D-RI) is accepting applications for interns in his Rhode Island and Washington, D.C., offices for the summer of 2017. Civic-minded college students who are available for at least 10 hours per week may apply.

"A qualified candidate will be well-organized, responsible, dependable, and have strong oral and written communication skills," according to his office.

"Responsibilities include drafting constituent correspondence, answering phone calls, and supporting staff members on various projects. College credit is available if approved by the institution.
