Latest Snow Projections for Friday and Saturday in South Kingstown

With temperatures plummeting and snow on the way, here's a look at what forecasters are saying to expect tonight into tomorrow.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — After landing a straight jab of subzero windchills, mother nature is coming right back with a left hook to the body in the form of snowy conditions, starting Friday night.

The National Weather Service projects less than one inch of snow, with accumulations of less than one inch possible Friday night and less than .5 inch of new snow on Saturday. Most of the Friday night snow will actually start after 3 a.m. Saturday when the low temperature will be around 23.

Saturday will tell a different tale according to the NWS. Snow will mix with rain before 2 p.m. Then, there's a chance of rain between 2 and 3 p.m. and a chance of drizzle after 3 p.m., with a high temperature near 47.

Overall, temperatures are expected to sink to 23 overnight Friday. Luckily, temperatures are set to return to 55 Sunday, but it will be windy Saturday night and Sunday, with gusts as high as 30 mph Saturday and 39 mph Sunday.
