Let Your LOVE Shine Through...

   Our ‘natural’, state-of-being is LOVE...pure, complete, unadulterated. We are born being this ‘perfect’-love, a part of the Grand-’Source’ of ALL love, complete all on our own; yet, over the course of our lives, due to distraction(s), difficulties, and, damage to our ‘soul’, we forget that this is so, and so, for our ‘fulfillment’, often seek love outside of ourselves. Wishing to be loved by others is not, in an of itself, a ‘bad’ thing; however, when we DESPERATELY desire this love from outside sources, because we do not recognize that we, ourselves, ARE love, we do ourselves and others a disservice; as we put all the pressure on them to fill our need.. Recognizing ourselves as ‘love’ opens up wonderful ‘possibilities’ and frees us from feeling ‘needy’ of the love and ‘attention’ we may hope to be ‘paid’ by people in our lives; allowing for this, instead, to be an extra-added ‘gift’. When we can come back to this ‘place’, acknowledging that all the love we, truly, need is already available within us, the affections and fondness we receive from outside-sources become ‘icing on the cake’, rather than the ‘cake’ itself, simply adding to the beautiful-bounty of limitless-love which exists in us...as us. Once, many years ago, I sought my love, happiness, and completion, outside of myself, much to the detriment of myself and the relationships I was involved in. Today, as I accept myself as a complete, whole-person, who on her own IS love, any and all of the love I receive from others, in my life, merely adds to my experience. Freeing myself from the NEED to be loved by others has had a tremendous impact on me; not the least of which has been that I can, now, garner the ‘gift’ of love that others wish to bestow upon me, letting it embellish my natural-state; rather than to ‘demand’ love from them as a way to feel fulfilled. As the ‘Beatles’ sang out to the world, once, not so long ago, ‘LOVE is ALL you need’; when we let that LOVE begin with us... the rest will be ‘gravy’. Just Sayin’...
