'Life', Through The Eyes Of A Child...

   I'm, certainly, no 'youngster', any, longer; but, at this 'stage of the game', I'm sure, 'young at heart', and, this, to me, is even, BETTER; for, as a child, I did not possess the, same, appreciation for life, that, I do now, as, then, I knew no real, suffering or 'unhappiness'. Naturally, when we are children, if all of our basic-needs are being met, then, typically... 'life is good', with this being, pretty, much, all that matters. As 'little-ones', our world is small, and, 'happiness' seems a natural-'state of being' for most of us. As we grow into 'adult'-hood, becoming more and more exposed to life's challenges and hurdles, ideally, we learn, as well, to 'cope', and, STILL, enjoy our lives, which, sometimes, can be difficult, to say the least. 'Life' can ask a great, deal of us, bringing about 'moments', which, will test our, 'will' and, our 'faith', all the while, 'challenging' us to 'hold onto hope', to 'always, look on the bright-side', and, to discover a way to remain positive and upbeat, regardless, the hardships, which, befall us. Usually, children seem to possess a resiliency, seeming, more capable of overcoming life's 'calls to battle', whereas, oft times, as adults, we 'lose', this, 'quality', and do not 'bounce-back' as easily or as readily from our pain-filled episodes. Personally, I believe this is, partly, due to the fact, that, as 'wee-ones', we have faith, and, instinctively and intuitively understand, that, our elders... parents, or, 'caregivers'...will 'be there' to save us, to 'make things right' and protect us from life's 'boogeymen'. As grownups, we, too, need to know, that, we have someone to depend upon when times are 'trying', a 'support-system' to aid in assisting us in enduring through our, 'troubled-times'. Family and friends can be great for this, yet, sometimes, our 'difficulties' can be too challenging, even for them. In my life, I have come to know this 'help' and 'safety-net', as the Higher-Power' I choose to subscribe to, One, who is, ALWAYS, here for me. I, also, own a belief-system, which, allows for the acceptance, that, although I may not understand WHY 'bad' things occur, I DO, understand, that, there IS a reason and purpose behind ALL of our life-experiences. 'Life', definitely, DOES, give us pain-filled situations to deal with; yet, it, too, is filled with glorious, miraculous-moments, as well. Our, GREATEST, challenge is in gaining the ability to 'let go, and...let God', allowing Him to give us the, perseverance, and 'peace of mind' to help us to, not, just, overcome all, obstacles, but, to survive them, as well, and, thrive beyond them, 'bouncing-back' with the, 'strength' of a child...a Child of God, able to see the beauty, and, the 'best of life', even through the pain. Just Sayin'...
