Man Stalked Taylor Swift's Rhode Island Mansion, Police Say

Daniel P. Cole was ordered to stay away from Swift's Westerly home.

A man was charged with trespassing at Taylor Swift's mansion in Westerly.

Daniel P. Cole, of Brewster, Mass. was ordered by a judge last week to stay away from the property, according to the Associated Press.

On Dec. 9, police said Cole blocked the driveway to the mansion and was escorted away. Then on Dec. 21, he returned and refused to leave before getting into a scuffle with a police officer, according to the AP.

Cole was charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct.

Swift purchased the waterfront mansion last year for $17.7 million. It's located in the exclusive Watch Hill neighborhood.

She irked some neighbors when workers recently fortified a rock wall that protects her home from the ocean.
