Narragansett Police Looking To Hire New Officer

NARRAGANSETT, RI — Narragansett police Chief Sean Corrigan said he's looking to add a new officer to the town's police force.
The department is now seeking applications from qualified candidates. Applications must be submitted by Feb. 22. All applications must be submitted online here.
Qualified candidates must be U.S. citizens between the ages of 21 and 35 upon hiring. Candidates must also have a minimum of 60 college credits or two consecutive years of honorable active-duty military service and hold a valid, unrestricted driver's license.

Appointment to the department is subject to a satisfactory background investigation, medical exam, psychological exam and drug screening. The first phase of candidate testing is physical agility, which will be held March 11. More about the recruitment testing process and timeline can be found on the application site here.
