Ninigret Pond, a salt pond in
Charlestown, is a beautiful place to explore by canoe/kayak—please join Salt
Ponds Coalition for a guided paddle! We
will launch at the US Fish and Wildlife parking area at the end of the access
road in Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge (use the Ninigret Park entrance on Rt.
1A off of Rt. 1 N), and paddle for about 2.5 hours. This event is free. Please arrive at least 25 minutes before the
launch time, and bring sun screen and plenty of
water. All paddlers must wear life jackets and
provide their own equipment. Rain date
is Sunday 7/27/14. Please visit our website, www.saltpondscoalition.org, for more information and a paddle
map, or contact us at saltpondscoalition@gmail.com
or 401-322-3068.
