Police Release Identity of Man Found Dead In Wakefield
The body of 56-year-old Gene A. Pearson was discovered at 390 Main Street in Wakefield earlier this week.
SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — South Kingstown police released the identity of the man found dead on Main Street in Wakefield early Tuesday morning. On Friday, said the man was identified as 56-year-old Gene A. Pearson. Pearson is believed to have died after suffering a medical emergency.
Pearson's body was found in the parking lot of 390 Main Street just before 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday. Emergency responders declared him dead at the scene and police said at the time that foul play was not suspected. Pearson is believed to have died as the result of a medical emergency, police said.
The incident is still under investigation by the South Kingstown Police Department.
