Readers' Choice: Best Spot to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day
Where do you like to celebrate all things Irish?

Whether you're Irish, know someone who is or just wish you were once a year, you've probably got plans to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
Once a mainly religious holiday, the modern St. Patrick's Day has evolved into one of the most widely celebrated saint’s days in the world, albeit in a largely secular manner, according to wikipedia's authors. History.com notes there are nearly 7 million people in the U.S. with Irish roots.
We here at Patch want to know: What's your favorite spot to celebrate St. Patrick's Day? Is it a cozy bar with green beverages, a restaurant that cooks their annual corned beef dinner just right or a spot with the perfect view of the local St. Patrick's Day parade?

So, which is your favorite celebratory spot? Combing through our Places listing directory, here’s what I came up with:
- in Matunuck
- in Mariner Square
- on Old Tower Hill Road
- McDonald’s on Old Tower Hill Road (based solely on the Shamrock Shake, and sorry, we inexplicably don’t have a listing page for them yet)
- on Main Street in Wakefield
- on Boston Neck Road in Bonnet Shores
- Fat Belly's Pub on Main Street in Wakefield
Vote in our poll below, then share your thoughts in the comments section. If we left your favorite spot off the list, let us know! Also, as a reminder to business owners, you can claim your listing FOR FREE and change the information in it. For instructions, go .

We'll leave the poll up all week then close voting at 9 a.m. Friday. At noon that day, we'll share your top local pick. Then be sure to watch the site over the weekend when we tally up the top votes and announce the place that got the most rave reviews across all of our Rhode Island sites.
Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch, since seeing 5,000 votes for one place tends to make me throw out the results for the whole poll. (Frustrating, I know.)
