"With today's oppressive humidity, it will be a good day for the beach, but it's the last one for a while," the EMA said. "Rain is headed our way for tomorrow and Thursday."
If you do take advantage of Tuesday's conditions, be advised that the Department of Health and the Department of Environmental Management are advising people that a dangerous species of jellyfish - the clinging jellyfish - have recently been spotted in Point Judith Pond in Narragansett. While small jellyfish can be found in back bays an coastal ponds, they usually aren't going to be an issue at ocean beaches or other sandy areas, officials said.
