RHODE ISLAND — Light snow is expected to fall in Rhode Island Wednesday, dropping a few inches of accumulation across the state. Due to the warm weather over the past few days and the warmer, almost-spring sunshine, the snow isn't expected to impact drivers too much.

The snow is expected to arrive by noon and continue throughout the afternoon, tapering off by evening. One to three inches of accumulation are expected.

The snowfall will be light, the National Weather Service said. Combined with warm roads from the past few days of springlike temperatures, little snow accumulation is expected on paved surfaces, especially main streets and highways.
