Scarborough Beach South Back Open To Swimming

NARRGANSETT, RI — Scarborough Beach South is back open to swimming. Bacteria in the water returned to safe levels, the Rhode Island Department of Health said.

Scarborough Beach North was never closed.

Six Rhode Island beaches remain closed for high bacteria levels, as of Monday. The department

recommended closing the beaches Friday.
