SK Van Thief Sentenced to Probation
Neil E. Britto, 43, is ordered to serve probation and a suspended sentence after pleading to stealing a van.

Neil E. Britto, 43, now of 201 Pittman St., Providence, and formerly of 26 Burnside Ave., Woonsocket, pleaded no contest in January to a South Kingstown police felony charge of larceny greater than $1,500 – a van.
In return for his plea, Superior Court Associate Justice Melanie Thunberg ordered Britto to serve three years probation and a three-year suspended sentence, and to pay $450 in assessments. A no-contact order was entered between Britto and the victim.

The decision was also referred to a special magistrate for restitution. A cost review is scheduled for June 26.
