As it has become so painfully clear to us, over the years; what with the number of ‘accidental’ overdoses and purposeful-acts committed to ending life, MANY people suffer deep and agonizing angst, pain and depression that others of us know nothing about until it is too late to assist them. Although some folks can be quite adept at keeping to themselves the acute ‘suffering’ they may endure, oftentimes, deep-down inside of themselves, they are barely managing as they attempt ‘holding-on’ to themselves, to their sanity and keeping in mind their ‘purpose’. As it is that ‘once upon a time’ I felt this way, myself, I feel it is ‘safe to assume’ that others do/have or can, as well, experience the fear and concern that is associated to asking for help from friends, loved ones, or EVEN from God; for if we do, it can seem that in so doing we are showing an outward ‘weakness’ which we are not willing to divulge. I am NOT making judgement against anyone, for we each ‘manage’ our lives in the very best way we know how; however, today I understand that asking for aid, especially when we are in our ‘darkest’ of places, is more a sign of strength than it is one of weakness...that sharing with others the despair we may suffer is often the very thing that can save us...that our ‘cry for help’ may be the strongest moment of our lives. Thankfully, I was fortunate to shout out my personal ‘SOS’ to my Higher-Power; that which exists both within and outside of me, and I am grateful to have been able to ‘pull through’ and get past my ‘pain and suffering’ through my FAITH and HOPE that things would get better; and, believe me...they HAVE, indeed. So, today, as I do each and every day, I send out to the ‘world at large’ prayers of love along with positive loving-energy and imagine that, perhaps, through this effort, I can help another...or many others...to find the strength to persevere and to come out of the ‘darkness’ they dwell in. Just Sayin’...
