South Kingstown Primary Results 2020: Mail Ballots Results Are In
Five Town Council candidates and four School Committee candidates will move forward to the general election in November.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — The results are in for Rhode Island's primary election, including thousands of mail- ballots not included in the initial results on Tuesday night. In the Town Council race, six candidates faced off for five slots in the general election, while six School Committee candidates vied for four spots.
On election night, the Rhode Island Board of Elections posted unofficial results based on in-person ballots cast at the polls. Thursday evening, the department updated results to include mail ballot counts. South Kingstown's results are available online, with vote counts broken down by mail, in-person and emergency ballots.
Results are listed below, with top candidates are marked in bold and incumbents marked (i). Results from the Board of Elections were considered unofficial as of Thursday night, and represent 100 percent of the town's precincts.

South Kingstown Town Council Democratic Primary
- Abel G. Collins — 2,947 votes, 19.4%
- Deborah J. Kelso (i) -2,670 votes, 17.6%
- Rory H. McEntee (i) — 2,660 votes, 17.6%
- Jessica L. Rose — 2.489 votes, 16.4%
- Deborah D. Bergner — 2,274 votes, 15%
- Edward Myszak — 2,114 votes, 14%
South Kingstown School Committee Democratic Primary
- Paula J. Whitford — 2,656 votes, 19.6%
- Christie L. Fish — 2,438 votes, 18%
- Melissa A. Boyd — 2,306 votes, 17%
- Michelle Brousseau (i) — 2,201 votes, 16.2%
- Stephanie R. Canter (i) — 2,080 votes, 15.3%
- Cadence L. Hansen — 1,892 votes, 13.9%
