The incident unfolded Thursday after the school notified police that a student went home sick after eating some kind of food item. Later, an ambulance was dispatched to the school for a report of a student having a reaction to something they ate.
Meanwhile the school is grappling with another, unrelated incident involving a teacher.
Estes said that the teacher was placed on leave “pending an investigation of an alleged altercation between that teacher and student.”
No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
