Three Businesses To Showcase Local Art; Adventureland Makes A Bold Addition

Five Friends Creations, a gift store in the Cherry Branch Plaza, 40 Charles St. has closed. It had taken over the old location of Marco’s Tattoos when Marco’s moved to 94 Main St.
B & L Perennials Consignment Clothing will be renovating the vacant space and will open another business, Perennials Annex-Boutique, on June 1st. The Annex will be offering sample designer clothing & accessories, select home & garden décor along with Interior Design services. The consignment clothing store at 40F Charles St. will remain at its present location.
Smoothy Booty, in the Sawmill building at 213 Robinson St. is open for the season.

Three businesses are hosting art exhibitions this Spring:
- Orbie’s, 396 Main St. is showing images of Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania in photographs by Christi Turner and paintings by Pam Santos. For more information call 792-4340.
- The Hera Gallery, 327 Main St. is showing postcards created as original art through April 30th. The hours are Wed-Friday 1-5pm and Sat. 10am – 4pm.
- “The Big Show” by Lilla Samson and Kim Salerno is hanging at the Courthouse Center for the Arts until May 15th. For more information call 782-1081.
Adventureland in Narragansett is adding a carousel to their fun activities. The 28 ft. Victorian carousel is housed indoors and will be available for birthday parties starting in June. Along with traditional horses, you will be able to choose from a tiger, a sea dragon, a penguin and an anteater.
