URI Ranks Third Among Most-Stoned Colleges: Princeton Review
The University of Rhode Island is at the top of the "reefer madness" ranking.
KINGSTON, RI — University of Rhode Island students smoke a whole lot of pot, according to the Princeton Review. The state school ranked number three in the country in the "reefer madness" category, behind the University of Vermont and Pitzer College in California.
The Princeton Review is an annual list of the country's colleges and universites, compiling lists of the biggest party schools, most environmentally friendly schools and more, all based on direct feedback from students themselves. This year's edition includes the best 385 schools in the country based on 140,000 student testimonies. Only the top 20 are ranked numerically, while the rest are simply included in the list.
URI did make the top 385 list and was named both a Green school and one of the best in the Northeast.
