Voter Guide: Narragansett

Here's the lowdown for Election Day.

NARRAGANSETT, RI – This election day, you have a lot of decisions to make: city councilors and school committee members, General Assembly members, U.S. Congressman and the Oval Office. You handle who to vote for. We'll give you everything you need to get into the voting booth.

What's local on the ballot:

  • U.S. Congress: Rhue R. Reis, R versus James R. Langevin D, Salvatore G. Caiozzo, I, and Jeffrey C. Johnson.
  • Precinct 2001
  • Senate District 35: Mark W. Gee, R, is running unopposed.
  • House District 33: Carol Hagen McEntee, D, versus Douglas G. Buonnano, I.
  • Precincts 2002, 2003
  • Senate District 36: James C. Sheehan, D, is running unopposed.
  • House District 33: Carol Hagen McEntee, D, versus Douglas G. Buonnano, I.
  • Precincts 2004, 2005
  • Senate District 35: Mark W. Gee, R, is running unopposed.
  • House District 34: Teresa Tanzi, D, is running unopposed.
  • Non-Partisan Town Council (Vote for up to 5): Raymond S. Kagels, Patrick W. Murray, Christopher Wilkens, Douglas R. DeSimone, Susan Cicilline-Buonanno, Richard M. Lema, Jill A. Lawler, Michael T. Moretti, Winters B. Hames, III, Matthew M. Mannix.
  • Non-Partisan School Committee (Vote for up to 5): Diane S. Nobles, Tammy J. McNeiece, Ralph A. Balsamo, Rebecca H. Durkin, Frank M. White, Justin Skenyon
  • Seven statewide questions are on the ballot this year: Tiverton Casino, Ethics Commission, Veterans Home bonds, URI Construction bonds, Port Infrastructure bonds, Green Economy bonds, and Affordable Housing bonds. Read our rundown on the ballot questions here.
  • Narragansett has one local ballot question about bonds (not to exceed $5.8 million) for a new library.

When to vote:

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8. If you make the line by 8 p.m., you're allowed to vote.
Some people chose to vote by mail. Their ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Nov. 8 at the state Board of Canvassers.
