Weather Doesn't Stop Sunday Concert on Village Green

Down City Band plays Sunday night.

The Sunday Concert on the Village Green will go on as planned Sunday, Aug. 3.

Down City Band will bring top 40 hits and 70s to current songs to sing along with and enjoy.

The free concert is located on the sprawling playground and park in front of the Neighborhood Guild at 325 Columbia Street in Peace Dale. It’s an ideal setting for families to bring blankets, lawn chairs and a snack or two. Or forget the snack and be on the lookout for the food and vendor trucks that tend to show up at summer events sponsored by the South Kingstown Parks and Recreation Department.
