WEATHER UPDATE: Drenching Rain, T-Storms for Narragansett-South Kingstown Father's Day
A Flood Watch is in effect through Sunday evening. An umbrella might be a decent Father's Day gift this year.

The remnants of Tropical Depression Bill will bring soaking rain, possibly thunder and lightning and a good chance of localized flooding on Father’s Day Sunday.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for all of Rhode Island and is forecasting about one-and-a-half to two inches of rain beginning late Saturday through Sunday afternoon.
The remnants of the tropical depression will pass across southeastern New England during Sunday, the weather service said.

Some areas could see upwards of three inches of rain depending on the structure of the storm as it moves by. As a result, urban and poor drainage areas are likely to flood if heavy rainfall occurs.
“This could occur at any time from the pre-dawn hours on Sunday into Sunday afternoon,” the weather service said in the Flood Watch statement. “The remnant low and area of of rain will push offshore by Sunday evening.”

The high temperature on Sunday will be in the low to mid 70s across Rhode Island. Expect to see sunshine and temperatures in the 80s on Monday.
