'Weather' We Like It...Or, Not!

Summer 2014...

It is evident to all of us on the Eastern Seaboard that we have been experiencing a ‘cooler’ than average Summer. I don’t believe that we have seen but a couple of days which have attained temperatures in the 90’s. This is OK with me, as I cannot tolerate excessive-heat, these days; yet, it is ‘unusual’, to say the least, as far as Summers, typically, ‘go’ around these parts. Per the ‘Farmer’s Almanac’, whose forecast for this Summer- season has been for this to occur, it is due to a whole lot of cold-air coming from our neighbor to the north...Canada. With daytime ‘highs’ not being all that high, and evenings offering great ‘sleeping-weather’, this Summer has been anything but a ‘bust’ for me; for as stated previously, the HOT weather and I have a hard-time getting along these days. With this being said, however, I am NOT so sure that I’m quite ready for what may be ‘up and coming’ regarding the impending Autumn Season. What I’ve been reading, with respect to this, is indicating a cooler than normal Fall. I’ve even heard that we could realize some snow this September; that’s right..you read this correctly...I did ‘say’ SNOW!!! This, I fear, is ANOTHER ‘kettle of fish’ altogether; for, as much as I abhor the excessive-heat, I LOVE the early-offerings of Fall-weather, with it’s cool, crisp-air creating the need for a sweater or light-jacket...NOT a snow-parka and mittens! Naturally, these are, simply, forecasts and long-term weather predictions which mayn’t even come to fruition; yet, to even imagine us getting snow so soon in the ‘game’ is a bit ‘off-putting’ for me. Oh well...que sera sera...whatever will be and all that ‘jazz’; ya’ can’t ‘fight City-Hall’ and you sure can’t change the weather, leastways, we, who are NOT the governing-factions with the technology to do so, can’t! Anyway...I’m not going to ‘fret’ or worry about the future, as there’s NO point in doing that, as far as I’m concerned. I will, instead, continue to enjoy these not so ‘lazy, hazy, crazy days of Summer’ and deal-with the ‘white-stuff’ once it makes its presence known...HOPEFULLY, not for some time to come! Just Sayin’...
