Whatever The 'Whether'...

     A mere 24 hours ago it was about 30 degrees cooler than it is now; it was SO cold that I discovered there to be FROST on my rooftop. CA-RAZY! Heck...if I was as confused as Mother-Nature appears to be of late, I’d be seeking counseling to assist me in ‘finding’ myself! It seems that this ‘time of the year’, here on the East Coast, has Mother-Earth AND Her Sister, Ms. Nature, fighting to discover their identity; one day the weather exhibited is reminiscent of Summer...the next day Fall...the following day WINTER, then BACK to Summer, once AGAIN. WHEW...is it ANY wonder that my closets and drawer spaces look as they do; I NEVER know ‘from one day to the next’ what on earth to wear and so have THREE seasons worth of clothing ‘at the ready’. Per the calendar, Summer is still the season that we’re in, as we’ll be welcoming Autumn on the 23rd; however, we’ve ALREADY had a taste of the impending Winter months a bit earlier than one would presume to. Oh well...so there’s a bit of confusion occurring these days with respect to weather and traditional seasonal offerings; things will, eventually, work themselves out...they ALWAYS do; and this in the same way that ‘unforeseen’ and ‘out of the norm’ situations do in our lives. When we are confused...lost...unsure...it takes a little time to regain our footing and to find our way back to ‘normal’...WHATEVER the heck THAT is! In all seriousness, though, most of us enjoy and prefer a certain level of ‘status-quo’ in our lives, some certain ‘sameness’ and ‘constancy’ that help keep us ‘anchored’ and aids us in feeling ‘safe and secure’; a ‘knowing’ that things are as they ought be in order for us to ‘maintain’...’smooth-sailing’ as compared to a rough and rocky ride. When those moments which ‘rock the boat’ occur, we can be knocked down and dragged about by the unexpected and unwanted change(s) that take place; these which force us to find our happy ‘middle-ground’ once again. These can be very ‘trying’ times for us; yet, with the right amount of faith, hope and patience we can find our way back to a place of acceptance and contentment, discovering a new ‘comfort-zone’ within the ‘state of affairs’ in which we live and with which we must ‘deal’. Hey...life is NEVER truly constant...things change ALL the time...just like the weather; yet unlike the meteorological-events that take place which we have NO control over, we DO have control over the most important aspect of our lives; this, in how we choose to ‘handle’ the changes, hurdles, and obstacles in our lives and, STILL, come away with a ‘sunny-disposition’ despite the most damaging storms we encounter. Just Sayin’...
