Whose 'Lead' Do You Follow?

     Most of us can probably recall playing the game of ‘Follow the Leader’ when we were children; this amusing ‘exercise whereby any number of youngsters will imitate, replicate or otherwise duplicate the behavior(s) exhibited by the person ‘in charge’. I remember doing such, myself; always laughing and giggling, enjoying the silly antics of all those involved in the activity...this game; however, as it goes in ‘real’-life, sometimes, it’s so much more important whose ‘lead’ one chooses to follow. When we are very young, we often, due to our own inexperience and inability to make better choices, choose to walk in the footsteps of others; some whom, as well, may NOT be making the best-decisions for themselves. When we follow the path of others who are walking a wayward-walk, we, too, will ‘wind-up’ stumbling. Believe me...I know of which I speak; for I did not, ALWAYS, know to trust my ‘instincts’; nor, did I wish to be ‘unaffiliated’ with the friends I chose at certain times in my life, ergo, frequently following them down a destructive-path. It took me awhile to ‘get’ here; but, today...well I walk my OWN walk, staying true to myself, my heart, AND my head, with the ONLY Leader I choose to follow being my Lord. When I stay on the path of righteousness, which He leads me on, I feel happier...more gratified; if I ‘stray’...I feel lost. Being ‘human’ comes with its own set of hurdles and as ‘physical-beings’ we are challenged, each and every day, to make good choices, to do the ‘right’ thing, to walk the ‘better’ walk...to take the ‘higher-road’. Who better to ‘follow’ then, when wishing to ‘copycat’ the actions of another, than Jesus? It is NOT always easy to do; but, in my opinion, it is SO worth the effort of trying. Just Sayin’...
