Academy Award Winner Steven Wright Graces Fox Theater at Foxwoods For One Night Only on October 18
Comix At Foxwoods presents Academy Award-winner and Hall-of-Fame comedian, Steven Wright.
Academy Award winner and Burlington, MA native, Steven Wright has been a true pioneer and innovator in the comedy world for over two decades. Now, thirty-two years later and rising comedians are still following Wright’s blue print to stardom in comedy, which includes Late Show performances, album recordings, as well as film and television appearances.
Wright, a true comedic genius, is mostly known for his distinctly lethargic voice and slow, deadpan delivery of ironic, philosophical and sometimes nonsensical jokes, anti-humor, and one-liners with contrived situations.
In 2008 Wright was honored as the first inductee into The Boston Comedy Hall of Fame. The ceremony included performances by legendary Boston comedians Tony V, Don Gavin, Lenny Clarke, Kenny Rogerson, Steve Sweeney, Mike Donovan and Barry Crimmins.
