Coronavirus In RI: 54 New Cases, Latest Town-By-Town Numbers

Richmond and New Shoreham remain the only two communities without any cases of coronavirus.

There were 54 new cases of the coronavirus and two additional deaths in Rhode Island on Friday, according to the Rhode Island Department of Health. The latest data shows that 77 people are currently hospitalized with the virus, with 18 patients in intensive care units.

As of Friday, just two Rhode Island communities — Richmond and Block Island — had no cases of the virus. Providence, meanwhile, still has the highest concentration of cases at 102, followed by 91 in Pawtucket and 61 in North Providence.
