The library is pleased to welcome Nina Sankovitch, author of Tolstoy and the Purple Chair: My Year of Magical Reading on Saturday, September 24th at 2:00pm. While mourning the death of her sister, Sankovitch pledged to read a book every day for one year. Tolstoy and the Purple Chair is a chronicle of that experience as well as a meditation on the power of books to change our lives. The author will discuss and sign copies of her unique book.
